Virtual Pet Site - What Would You Add?

i and a friend of mine are planning a virtual pet site, much like neopets, but with our twist. Other than the core features (profiles, shops/user shops, *clubs/guilds/whatever*, news, forums, pets) what would you like to see in it? It will also be based off of a plot, which will not be released. Do not plan on seeing the project up and running any time soon, it takes months to plan, and program, along with the amount of art that needs to be done.

Maybe some unique types of creatures for pets.

maybe, besides just having pets you can have a human avatar. Almost like Gaia where you can buy clothes and stuff?
