Layout feedback

My site is http://cityinsurrender.com/ , and I'd love to get some feedback about the layout. Especially from Olivia, because I noticed she really gives good feedback.

It's quite original.

Though, I would move links a little bit to the left, widen them so they fit the sidebar width. And first of all - darken the font. It hurts my eyes.

I really it at first glance.

The main font could be a little darker.
Also, it would be nice to see the sidebar integrated.
The top half (walk, passion) and the bottom half (work it) don't mesh with each other.
The top menu could be a little more padded.
There should be more space between "In Surrender" and the main area...
